Project 170 is a simple but lean renovation of a one story ranch-style house in suburban NY for a young family of four. The existing house is an amalgamation of dated styles with rooms that are disconnected from each another and from the rear outdoor terrace and backyard. The new design looks to unify and connect by introducing a new reorganized kitchen that is open to the dining room, a new bathroom for the kids, a re-proportioned parents’ bedroom with new walk-in closets and bathroom, and in the living room, new larger windows & sliding door facing the terrace and backyard for better views, access and light.
